Due to a start-up grant from Equal Lives of £1,000 Walkon Crafters now meet once a month at Wensum Community Centre, Hotblack Road, Norwich, on the 1st Thursday of the month, 2pm - 4pm All Amputees Those affected by Limbloss and Thier Carers are Welcome.... Membership is FREE.
We also welcome Family members, Freinds and Employers a small donation would be grateful.
On a Group front, it would enable us to provide 2-3 local group meetings which would enable members to socialise and share experiences encouraging members to partake in Crafting projects whether in the group meeting or at home, and attending public events strengthening the bonds within the community, and raising awareness of amputees while raising funds for the group's activities from members craft projects.
The appeal would enable us to provide materials and tools to help the members to produce craft items for sale at craft fairs, table top sales, car boot sales etc. Some of the crafts that could be included are card-making, scrapbooking, jewellery-making, wood-working, basket -weaving, sewing, knitting and more dependent upon the individual group requirements.
