On Tuesday 2nd April 2013. Walkon Crafters attended the launch of Equal lives at the Forum Norwich.
ncodp, was set up in 1996 by a number of organisations of disabledpeople in Norfolk, this means we are a user led organisation controlled by disabled people and their groups.
We believe having an imparment is a normal part of being human. Disability results from people with impairments being discriminated against because of physical and social barriers and attitudes
Equal lives vision is:
A World free from diabling barriers.
Equal lives mission is:
To remove disabling barriers so that peoplehave wquality and indipendence - in Norfolk and beyond.
To read more about the work and member groups go to: http://http//www.equallives.org.uk
Equal lives lives Working together for change! has 51 User led member groups. 32 Affiated groups. 600+ individual members.
Walkon Crafters filled in the application form to join Equal lives - Our reasoning for this is we are but a single voice promoting a positive image of all amputees and their carers, and as we face the same or simular issues as many of the user groups we will lend our vioce to their concerns and they ours, uniting our common aims in a larger platform.
